Terms of Use
Kryptex Quest is a campus treasure hunt run by GDG on Campus, BITS Pilani Dubai Campus (“the organisers”). By signing in and playing you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not play.
Who can play
- You need a valid @dubai.bits-pilani.ac.in Google account. One account per person, and you may not share your account.
- Teams have 1 to 4 players. You may be in one team at a time.
Your safety and the campus
- Play at your own pace and pay attention to your surroundings, traffic and other people. No question is worth an injury. Never run, climb or take risks.
- Stay inside the quest area and out of any no-go zones the game warns you about. Follow campus rules and the instructions of staff and organisers.
- If you need help, use Need help? in the menu or find an organiser. Do not enter private, locked or restricted areas.
Fair play
- Do not fake your location (GPS spoofing, emulators or any tool that changes where the app thinks you are), or automate, scrape or attack the game or its servers.
- Do not share flags, questions or answers with other teams, and do not try to read answers you have not earned.
- Photos must show the object you were asked to find. Do not photograph people without their consent, and do not upload anything unlawful, offensive or unrelated.
- Be respectful to other players, staff and the campus community.
Location, photos and your data
The game needs your location and, for photo questions, your camera. While you play, organisers can see your live location and your activity. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Decisions and prizes
- The organisers decide the rules, scoring, rankings, any prizes and how disputes are settled. Their decisions are final.
- The organisers may pause, change or end the event at any time, correct mistakes in content or scoring, and remove or disqualify a player or team that breaks these terms.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of the photos and names you submit. You allow the organisers to store them, review them (including with an automated check), and show them to organisers and, for names, team names and rankings, to other players and on event screens.
Availability and liability
- The game is provided as is. GPS is imprecise, networks fail and the service may be interrupted. We do not promise it will always be available or error free.
- To the extent the law allows, the organisers are not liable for loss, injury or damage arising from taking part, other than where the law does not allow that limit. You take part at your own risk.

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies. Questions or concerns: ask the organisers at the event or through the GDG on Campus BITS Pilani Dubai Campus channels.
